What we store
Eclipse Cloud keeps as little as it can.
About you
Your display name, when your account was made, and how you sign in: your Discord ID (not your Discord password, messages or friends) and/or your email address. If you sign in with Discord we also note the short code of your Discord profile picture. We never keep the picture itself: when it is shown, we fetch it from Discord and pass it on, so your browser never contacts Discord, and you can turn it off on your account page. Your email is only used to send sign-in codes and is never shown to anyone.
What you share
Themes and configs you choose to share, their names and descriptions, and votes and reports. A theme's picture is never stored here; only the link you gave. Configs never include your menu or appearance preferences.
Downloads of the Eclipse client
The Eclipse client isn't part of the installer. The launcher downloads it when you press Play, if your account may launch. Each download carries its own hidden mark, and we record which account and computer fetched which mark, for about a year, so a copy that is leaked can be traced back to the download it came from. These records are deleted with your account.
Payments
Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy, who is the seller of record. They keep your card and billing details; we never see or store them. We keep only the subscription's status and dates, so we know whether to let you in, and a scrambled ID for each computer you launch from, to apply the two-computer limit.
The Eclipse Discord
If you have access and Discord is linked, we ask Discord to give your Discord account the Subscriber role in the Eclipse Discord, and note that we did, so we can take it back when your access ends. The note is removed once the role is gone. If you open a support ticket there, we note your Discord ID and the ticket, so you can't open duplicates and staff can close it. We don't read anything else about you there.
Signed-in games
A random sign-in key per game (stored only as a scrambled version), the game's version, and when it was last used. Nothing about your computer.
What we don't keep
No passwords (there aren't any), no IP address logs, no tracking. To slow down abuse we count requests briefly using a scrambled version of the address, and those counts are deleted within the hour.
Your choices
Change your name, sign games out, edit or delete what you shared, or delete your whole account, any time from your account page. Deleting is immediate and permanent.
Takedowns and questions
People are responsible for what they share. Use the Report button in the game, or ask in the Eclipse Discord, and we'll take a look.
